North Pine Netball Academy Program 2026

The North Pine Netball Academy is designed to support the development of passionate netballers aged 12–15 years who are ready to challenge themselves, grow their skills, and take their game to the next level.

This 10-week development program focuses on building strong foundations across fitness, skills, positional play, and game awareness, while encouraging confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. Players will train alongside like-minded athletes in a supportive, high-performance environment led by experienced coaches and guest presenters.

Key Dates

  • Thursday 26 March – Nominations Close

  • Sunday 29 March – Trials (9:00am – 11:00am)

  • Sunday 26 April – Player & Parent Information Meeting (10:00am – 11:00am)

The investment for the 2026 North Pine Netball Academy Program is $200 per player - that's $20 per session!

Training Details

  • When: Sunday mornings, 9:00am – 11:00am

  • Where: North Pine Netball Courts

Each on-court session includes a warm-up, skill development, gameplay, reflection, and warm-down to ensure a holistic and athlete-focused experience.

2026 Academy Awards

The North Pine Netball Academy Awards recognise more than just talent - they celebrate commitment, growth, mindset and character across the entire program.

Throughout the Academy season, athletes are challenged not only to improve their skills and fitness, but to demonstrate coachability, resilience, leadership and a strong work ethic. These awards acknowledge players who consistently embrace the Academy standards, apply feedback, support their teammates, and strive to be their best both on and off the court.

Awards are determined by the Academy coaching team based on observations across the full 10-week program, including training sessions, match-play, attitude and overall development.

Each award reflects a different aspect of what it means to be a well-rounded Academy athlete - recognising excellence, improvement, mindset and the values that underpin high performance at North Pine Netball.


Academy Champion (Overall Excellence Award)
Recognises the athlete who consistently demonstrates excellence across all areas of the program.
Criteria:

  • Outstanding attendance and commitment
  • High performance in skills, fitness and match-play assessments
  • Consistently applies feedback and shows measurable improvement
  • Demonstrates leadership, positivity, and support for teammates
  • Embodies the club’s values at all times


Most Improved Athlete
Recognises the athlete who has shown the greatest growth from Week 1 to Week 10.
Criteria:

  • Significant improvement in skills (shooting, footwork, defence, agility, etc.)
  • Noticeable growth in confidence, decision-making and game play
  • Increased resilience and willingness to try new challenges
  • Actively implements coaching feedback
  • Stronger consistency and effort over time


Coaches’ Award
Recognises an athlete who goes above and beyond in attitude, effort, and commitment.
Criteria:

  • Always gives 100% in every drill, game and conditioning block
  • Displays strong coachability - attentive, asks questions, applies feedback
  • Shows resilience, persistence and a positive mindset
  • Supports and encourages teammates
  • Demonstrates strong training habits both on and off the court


High-Performance Mindset Award
Recognises the athlete who consistently demonstrates the mental and behavioural qualities required for elite performance.
Criteria:

  • Displays exceptional focus, discipline, and competitiveness in all sessions
  • Maintains a professional approach to training, preparation, and recovery
  • Demonstrates resilience under pressure and adapts quickly to challenges
  • Holds themselves and others to high standards
  • Shows strong commitment to continuous improvement and long-term development
